The Grateful Brothers Trio, and sometimes Quartet, is a stripped-down version of the full band. The Trio pulls from the same wonderful catalog of Grateful Dead and Allman Brothers music but performs it in a new exciting way with less instrumentation. The Trio varies in instrumentation from time to time, incorporating 2 guitars and keys as well as guitar, keys, and drums. This is another way to reinterpret this unparalleled music creatively, in ways not previously heard.
